What is Exam Professor?
Exam Professor is an Internet application that helps anybody build amazing online exams, tests, and quizzes. When you design an exam with Exam Professor, it automatically builds the database, backend and scripts needed to make collecting and understanding your data easy, fast and fun. Because we host everything, all you need is a browser, an Internet connection and a few minutes to build an exam, test, or quiz and deploy it right away.
Will my Exam Professor site look like my organization's identity?
Paying accounts can customize with their company's name, colors, logo. Since the Exam Professor brand name or logo isn't displayed anywhere, Exam Professor is transparent to your users.
Can I place exams on my own web site?
Yes, we provide easy copy/paste code for those of you that want to have your forms integrated into your own web site. The data and the admin interface are still on our servers and you'll have to log-in to Exam Professor to manage everything, but the exam looks like you're hosting it.
Is Exam Professor hosted by you or do I have install software on my server?
You will never have to install any hardware or software to get it up and running because Exam Professor is hosted on remote secure servers. You will always be using the latest version of Exam Professor and benefit immediately when the software is updated or a bug is fixed. Also, your data is always safe through redundant hardware and scheduled backups.
Can we purchase a copy of Exam Professor to install on our own servers?
Exam Professor is a web-based, hosted service. The base code is not available for purchase to install on your own servers, but you can use our API to place your exams on any server you wish.
What about security, privacy, and confidentiality?
We take careful precautions to protect our customers' information. Exam Professor is stored in a Sterling Network Services Tier 4 2N+2 datacenter facility in Delaware that conforms to the strictest physical security standards. Your exams site is password protected and we will not sell or share your information or any data you enter. No one will be able to access your data unless you grant permission.
Can Exam Professor be used in other industries besides education?
Yes. All exams, tests, quizzes can be used in any number of settings due to its flexibility and ease of use. Exam Professor is used by educators, non-profits, businesses, and other professionals who need an easy way to publish exams, tests, and quizzes online quickly.
What are the system requirements for taking an exam?
Exam Professor easily works with all of the popular Web browsers on Windows and Mac OS X. Chances are, you already have the Adobe Flash Player installed so there is nothing more for you to install.
What are the system requirements for authoring an exam?
Exam Professor is web-based (like Hotmail or Gmail), so all you need is an internet connection and a modern browser.
Will you ever use the email addresses of students or teachers we register under our account?
No, we will never use, sell or distribute anyone's email address without their direct permission. We think spam is annoying and offensive.
